2022 Provenance Regional Series Pinot Noir 6 Pack

Six bottles of 2022 Provenance Regional Series Pinot Noir, a stellar vintage and an excellent way to experience and compare three unique vineyard sites across southwest Victoria.

  • 2022 Ballarat Pinot Noir (x 2)
Made from 90% whole berries with a small portion of whole bunches. Matured in barriques (25% new). A lively, light, bright crimson. Fragrant with scents of wild strawberry, cranberry and floral notes. Medium bodied, the palate is lively, fresh and pliant, while refined tannins round out a lovely wine that is both immediately appealing and will also reward four to six years cellaring, if not longer.

  • 2022 Henty Pinot Noir (x 2)
Made with 90% whole berries with a small portion of whole bunches. Matured in barriques (25% new). A medium, bright crimson red. An excellent set of regional Victorian pinots from Provenance in '22, this sits nicely between the Ballarat and Geelong versions. A mix of red and black fruits together with a little thyme and peony. Medium bodied, this silky-textured and well-balanced wine is ready to enjoy but, equally, will only become more complex over time.

  • 2022 Geelong Pinot Noir (x 2)
A single-vineyard wine from Moorabool; 90% whole berries with a small portion of whole bunches, matured in barriques (25% new). A deep-ish bright crimson. Brooding with aromas of red cherries, ripe strawberries, black tea and a gentle meatiness. This is the richer and more structured than Provenance's Ballarat and Henty pinots. While not quite as approachable now, my gut feeling is this will become the most complex in time. They are all worth seeking out!
