For us, our Geelong Pinot Noir is a flag bearer for the variety in the region and shows the distinctive character we strive for. Dark fruits, especially black cherry, immediately jump from the glass intermingled with fennel and sage as well as sweeter spices. On the palate there is power and texture in equal measure, with again bright dark fruits shining through with cedar and earthy nuances. This wine will develop very nicely.
"Moorabool fruit. Whole bunches (20%), fermented wild, 20% new French oak. This just has that crackle, that something. It's both light and frisky but it extends long through the finish, throwing myriad flavours along the way. Undergrowth, macerated cherry, handfuls of sweet spices, gently bitter twig-like notes and wild thyme. Give it a few years to properly unfurl; it needs it." 93 Points
