A gorgeous nose of fresh strawberries and watermelon, complemented by subtle floral notes. The palate is juicy and fresh, with an incredible drinkability, perfect for all occasions.
"Our NV Sparkling Rose is Chardonnay-based, with the fruit predominantly from the Doeven Vineyard in Drumborg Southwest Victoria. The Henty region was pioneered in 1964 by Karl Seppelt of Great Western fame, as he recognised the excellent potential of the area for sparkling wine production. With its icy cool winds blowing from the southwest, it is one of the more marginal regions on the mainland. This brings challenges during the flowering stage early in the season, often significantly reducing yields. The freshness from this cold climate is perfect for sparkling wine, retaining natural acidity and allowing flavour development at lower alcohol levels. Our expression is bottled with a low dosage, keeping it dry in style but complimented with a small addition of Pinot Noir for subtle strawberry notes alongside the classic citrus and crisp apple of Henty Chardonnay. A very short time on lees is to maintain a juicy style, maintaining purity rather than chasing savoury biscuit or brioche notes." Tom Brushfield, Provenance Wines
