Kiera & Brenton celebrated their wedding day with close to 100 family and friends last month at our historic Geelong wedding venue, Provenance Wines. This gorgeous couple opted to exchange vows within our industrial working winery; the ceremony was short and yet ever so sweet.
After the ceremony concluded, the newlyweds headed outside for photos within the Paper Mills precinct grounds. We are fortunate to have a photographer’s playground of beautiful locations for photography within a short walk away from the winery, allowing the bridal couple more time to enjoy their special day. Meanwhile, guests were wowed as the Provenance team pulled back the curtains to reveal our grand Barrel Hall, the main event space and destination for the afternoon’s festivities.
The majestic reception space was beautifully decorated with breathtaking florals in burnt orange, cream and gum foliage further enhancing the whimsical, rustic feel of the Barrel Hall thanks to the work of Elderberry Events.
Pre-dinner drinks and delightful grazing station awaited guests in the Bar area – Provenance’s decadent antipasto station was filled with sliced meats, assorted cheeses, olives, capers, pickles, dried fruits, nuts, house baked bread & crackers for guests to enjoy over a couple glasses of bubbles.
Canapes followed which included Tasmanian oysters, lemon & herb chicken skewers and Provenance’s famous smoked cheese arancini.
As the wedding guests enjoyed delicious, shared entrée & mains, they were treated to some funny & some very heartfelt speeches. Under Provenance’s twinkling fairy lights adorned the cathedral-like ceiling above, Kiera & Brenton performed an impressive first dance routine which then opened the dance floor for the night. Guests enjoyed the remainder of the evening sipping our award-winning wine and dancing the night away, celebrating the special wedding day of Kiera and Brenton.
Finally a very big thanks to all of the suppliers that made the event so wonderful.
Provenance ticked all of the boxes in terms of flexibility all in the one place, delicious food and exceptional wine (especially Pinot Noir which is our favourite). It was also easily accessible from town for all of our guests. Right from the start the communication from Sarah, our events coordinator, was clear which added to appeal.
We loved the feeling we got when we entered the reception space at Provenance, the high ceilings and white brick walls, it was so inviting and special. When we stepped into the Grand Hall it took our breath away and it was a pretty instant YES!! It was also perfect being all indoors as it was guaranteed for any type of weather to come our way.
Provenance was the first (and then only) place we looked at. The beautiful mix of buildings and fields for photos was what drew us in to do a venue visit and once we were there, the ceremony space and overall feel of the venue and staff sold us!
